Gates Hudson is a full-service real estate company in the Merrifield/Dunn Loring area of Fairfax, Virginia. Due to rapid company growth, we are looking for additional professionals to join our corporate team.

Position Overview:

The Recruiter will partner with the hiring managers to source and hire the right people for our team. They will develop and implement creative and proactive sourcing strategies to develop pipelines for jobs that will identify, attract and hire top-notch candidates.


  • Work with the hiring manager to understand and determine needs to efficiently and effectively fill open positions.
  • Develop a pool of qualified candidates in advance of need.  Maintain regular contact with possible future candidates.
  • Network through industry contacts, association memberships, trade groups and employees to identify and source candidates.  Attend local professional meetings and membership development meetings, if need be to identify candidates.
  • Use social venues, such as retail stores, restaurants, hotels to identify and source candidates.
  • Develop and utilize alternate methods to source "passive" candidates (AKA headhunting)
  • Coordinate college recruiting initiatives and attend career fairs for recruiting and company recognition.
  • Assess applicants’ relevant knowledge, skills, soft skills, experience and aptitudes.
  • Conduct prescreening interviews in order to identify candidates.
  • Manage and maintain applicant tracking system and recruiting statistics.
  • In partnership with the Marketing Department, promote Gates Hudson's reputation as an employer of choice.


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; Real Estate experience is a plus.
  • Three or more years of hands on recruiting experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong customer service focus
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish a plus
