Talent Acquisition Specialist

Position Overview

The Talent Acquisition Specialist will partner with the hiring managers to source and hire the right people for our team. They will develop and implement creative and proactive sourcing strategies to develop pipelines for jobs that will identify, attract and hire top-notch candidates.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work with the hiring manager to understand and determine needs to efficiently and effectively fill open positions.
  • Develop and execute recruiting plans.
  • Conduct regular follow-ups with hiring managers to determine the effectiveness of recruiting plans and implementation.
  • Develop a pool of qualified candidates in advance of need.  Maintain regular contact with possible future candidates.
  • Post openings internally and externally, with professional organizations and in other position appropriate venues.
  • Network through industry contacts, association memberships, trade groups and employees to identify and source candidates.  Attend local professional meetings and membership development meetings, if need be to identify candidates.
  • Use social venues, such as retail stores, restaurants, hotels to identify and source candidates.
  •  Develop and utilize alternate methods to source "passive" candidates (AKA headhunting)
  • Coordinate college recruiting initiatives and attend career fairs for recruiting and company recognition.
  • Assess applicants’ relevant knowledge, skills, soft skills, experience and aptitudes.
  • Conduct prescreening interviews in order to identify candidates.
  •  Coordinate interviews with hiring managers and/or other Gates Hudson staff
  • Work with admin team to ensure appropriate assessment and paperwork for each step is processed
  • Verify references and background checks for potential candidates.
  • Prepare and send offer packages or rejection letters.
  • Act as main point of contact for candidates throughout the screening process
  • Work with HR admin team to schedule onboarding
  • Manage applicant tracking system
  • Maintain recruiting statistics
  • Train and coach hiring managers on effective interview techniques and applicable legislation
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation as it relates to recruitment/hiring process.
  • In partnership with the Marketing Department, promote Gates Hudson's reputation as an employer of choice.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; Real Estate experience is a plus.
  • Three or more years of hands on recruiting experience
  • Knowledge of state and federal laws related to recruitment and hiring process
  • Advanced mastery of Excel, Word, Outlook, internet, social networking
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong customer service focus
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, high volume environment
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish a plus
